Time to go Salzburg - Vienna
The Central European continental climate consists of hot summers and cold winters.
In summer it can get quite hot, though the waterside breeze can make it pleasant to ride along the lakes and rivers even then.
May, June and September are generally good months taking advantage of cooler, but still warm weather.
Harvest time in Wachau Valley is July for apricots, August to September for wine.
